David
Alexander is the president and managing shareholder of
Peterson & Myers, P.A., a full-service law firm with offices
in Winter Haven, Lakeland and Lake Wales. Mr. Alexander's practice
focuses on commercial transactions, real estate and business
litigation, with emphasis in the citrus and phosphate industries.
Mr. Alexander graduated from the University of Florida School
of Law in 1974 and has practiced in Polk County since 1975.
He is a former member of The Florida Bar's Young Lawyers Section
Board of Governors, a past president of the POlk County Trial
Lawyers Association and a founding member of the Willson American
Inn of Court. Mr. Alexander has repeatedly received an AV rating
from Martindale-Hubbell, representing the highest rating for
legal skill and professional ethics.
Jack
Brandon has spent the majority of his career representing
property owners in land use, enviromental and eminent domain
matters. He served as special assistant to the Lieutenant Governor
for the State of Florida and as chair of the Ridge & Lower
Gulf Coast Water Management District. He was elected to The
Florida Bar Board of Governors and served a five year term.
Mr. Brandon received The Florida Bar President's Award of Merit
and currently serves on The Florida Bar Foundation Board of
Directors. He also serves on the Second Appellate District
Judicial Nominating Commission, the Polk Community College
Foundation Board and the Board of Directors for Citrus and
Chemical Bank. He is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Peer Review Rated
attorney.
Blake
Paul has worked with Peterson & Myers, P.A., since
graduating from Florida State University College of Law in
1996, and was named a senior partner and shareholder in 2005.
He has extensive experience in all manner of civil litigation,
including complex commercial litigation, trucking and carrier
litigation, probate and trust disputes, and personal injury
and wrongful death. In 2004, Mr. Paul moved from Lake Wales
to Peterson & Myers' Lakeland office and is part of a team
of six litigation attorneys. He and his wife Elizabeth have
three sons. Mr. Paul is a member of the board of trustees for
All Saints Academy and volunteers as a Guardian for the Tenth
Judicial Circuit Guardian Ad Litem program.
Robert
E. Puterbaugh received his law degree from Stetson University,
after which he served for four years as a Captain in the Army
Judge Advocate General Corps, representing the United States
in various military, federal and state courts, as well as in
international law and diplomatic matters in Korea. Mr. Puterbaugh
is General Counsel to Lakeland Regional Medical Center Inc.,
one of the largest hospitals in Florida, and has been selected
by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America.
Puterbaugh is a senior member of the law firm of Peterson & Myers,
P.A., a 33-person, full-service law firm with offices in Lakeland,
Lake Wales and Winter Haven. Mr. Puterbaugh practices in the
Lakeland office.

Mac Midyette Receives Professionalism Award
The Lakeland Bar Association recently presented William M. (Mac)
Midyette, III its annual Jerry A. DeVane Award in recognition of
his "exemplary scholarship, professionalism, and collegiality" in
the practice of law. The Lakeland Bar's Professionalism Award is
named in memory of its first recipient, Jerry A. DeVane, a long
time Lakeland attorney who epitomized those attributes. Incoming
officers of The Lakeland Bar Association for 2006-2007 are Jonn
D. Hoppe, president elect/vice-president and Mac Midyette, member
