Clinton A. Curtis
Clinton A. (Clint) Curtis was born in Albany, New York, and lived in Albany and Syracuse prior to entering the United States Air Force. He attended Syracuse University and Florida Southern College, and received his law degree from Stetson College of Law in 1958.
Mr. Curtis was one of the original organizers of the Willson American Inn of Court, the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Polk County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association – and served as president of each of these organizations. He is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers, a Sustaining Member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, and a Sustaining Member of The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Curtis is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He also served as chairman of The Florida Bar of the Polk County Grievance Committee and the Tenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
Mr. Curtis was the former county solicitor for Polk County (1960-63), and former circuit judge (1981-83). Mr. Curtis has presided over civil and criminal trials and provided representation to clients in civil and criminal matters extending to the Florida Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Curtis practices in the firm’s Lake Wales office, in the areas of state and federal trial litigation, personal injury, commercial litigation, family law and criminal law.
