John R. Griffith

John Griffith was born in Miami Beach, Florida and has lived in Lakeland for most of his life. He received his B.A. in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Central Florida in 1980, and his law degree with Honors from Stetson University College of Law in 1983. While at Stetson, he received the American Jurisprudence Book Award for Contracts, was the recipient of a Charles A. Dana Scholarship, and served as an Associate Editor for Stetson Law Review. He has been admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, since 1983, has been a board certified real estate lawyer since 1997, and was the recipient of The Volunteer Attorney Involvement Project Recognition Award for 2004. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Mr. Griffith practices in the firm’s Lakeland office, concentrating his practice in real property, mortgage foreclosures, probate, contract matters and employer representation in garnishment matters. He has had twenty-one years experience representing a major supermarket retailer, and has extensive experience in representing both retail clients and developers in commercial development projects. He is an approved agent for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, Inc.
