Matthew J. Vaughn
Matthew J. Vaughn (Matt) was born and raised in Lake Wales, Florida. Matt received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 2003, cum laude, where he was a member of the baseball team. He then received his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Florida in 2007, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2011. While in law school, Matt was a member of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy and was selected as teaching assistant for Legal Research & Writing and Appellate Advocacy.
Prior to attending law school, Matt worked for Navigant Consulting, Inc. as a Consultant in its Nashville, Tennessee office and for BayCare Health System in its Managed Care office in Tampa, Florida.
Matt is a member of the Florida Bar, the Lakeland Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Bar Association, and the Downtown Lakeland Kiwanis Club. Matt is also a member of the Young Lawyers Division, the Trial Lawyers Division, and the Business Law Division of the Florida Bar. Matt currently practices in the Lakeland office in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, commercial collections, and bankruptcy. Matt is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and in federal court before the United States District Court for Middle District of Florida, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
