Stephen R. Senn
Stephen R. Senn is in the Lakeland office of Peterson & Myers, where he has practiced since 1991. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in appellate practice, and AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. His practice includes appeals, federal litigation, employment disputes, and business disputes.
Mr. Senn graduated from the Florida State University College of Law with high honors in 1989. He served as Article and Notes Editor for the Law Review, and received the Justice & Mrs. Joseph A. Boyd, Jr. Achievement Award. Mr. Senn was also a University Fellow in Law.
After graduation, he served for two years as law clerk to United States District Judge William J. Castagna. In 1990, Mr. Senn’s article The Prosecution of Religious Fraud was published in the Florida State University Law Review. In 2002, an article by Mr. Senn and Robert Puterbaugh entitled The Statute Of Limitations Under RICO: Rotella And Beyond was published by the National Legal Center for the Public Interest.
Mr. Senn was appointed by Chief Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich to the Advisory Committee on Rules for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2000. He was appointed Chair of the Advisory Committee on Rules in 2004. Mr. Senn presently serves on the Board of Directors of Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc., and on the Board of Directors of the Florida Equal Justice Center. He is also on the Pro Bono Committee for the Tenth Circuit. In 2005, Mr. Senn received the Jon H. Anderson Pro Bono Exceptional Participation Award. In 2006, Mr. Senn received the Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Award.
Mr. Senn resides in Lakeland with his wife, Leslie, and children, Kaylie and Nathaniel.
