Background
Prior to joining Peterson & Myers, Chad worked in Ohio with a practice centered on assisting individuals and businesses with tax, estate planning, and business matters helping clients with formational issues, joint ventures, operating agreements, venture funds, structuring acquisitions/dispositions, estate planning and probate, and a variety of tax issues. Chad also worked with many business owners to make sure personal and business succession planning are properly aligned and in the most tax efficient manner.
Chad and his wife Kim live in Lakeland and are the parents of three grown sons and the grandparents of two adorable grandkids and a “granddog.” In his spare time Chad enjoys being outdoors, hiking (mostly flat trails), traveling, spending time with family, playing racquet sports, and watching and talking about all other sports.
Education
Chad received a B.A. in Accounting from Utah State University, his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida
Admissions & Associations
Chad is a member of the Idaho and Ohio Bars and will be sitting for the Florida Bar in July 2024. He has been actively involved in the past with various charitable organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Greene County FISH Food Pantry, and handling pro-bono tax cases for the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Cincinnati and through the U.S. Tax Court.
