Background

Mr. Leckie completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. Upon graduation, Mr. Leckie attended Marquette University Law School where he interned for various organizations including the Medical College of Wisconsin, and the Office of the City Attorney in Milwaukee. Mr. Leckie also worked as a research assistant at Marquette’s Water Law and Policy Initiative.
Mr. Leckie worked in private practice in Wisconsin before returning home to Bartow to serve as an Assistant State Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit. From there, Mr. Leckie went on to Fort Lauderdale to practice under the Defense Base Act representing U.S. and foreign national military contractors for physical and occupational injuries sustained in war zones.
Wanting to return to Polk County and continue serving others, Mr. Leckie joined Peterson & Myers. P.A.
