Background

Michael Konen is an associate attorney at the firm and practices in the firm’s Lakeland office. Mr. Konen primarily works in the litigation department.

Education

Mr. Konen received B.A. in political science from Muskingum University (summa cum laude) in 2017. He received his Juris Doctor with a concentration in advocacy and litigation from Penn State Law in 2022 (magna cum laude).

During his time at Penn State, Mr. Konen was a senior editor of the Penn State Arbitration Law Review. While serving on the Arbitration Law Review, Mr. Konen authored an article selected for publication. He also competed on Penn State’s American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy Team where he and his teammates won the Midwest Regional tournament, becoming the first team in Penn State Law history to do so. Mr. Konen also served the local State College community by participating in the Street Law program at Penn State, working with local high schools to educate students on various aspects of the law, and as a Leading Law Student serving as a nonvoting member of the board of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County.

While at Penn State, Mr. Konen also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, a highest grade designation, in the classes of International Commercial Arbitration; Wills, Trusts, and Estates; Internet Law; and Federal Regulatory and Legislative Practice Seminar. Mr. Konen was also admitted to the Woolsack Honor Society. At graduation, he received the National Order of Barristers Award.
