Background

Upon graduation from Emory University in 1971, Mr. Putnam entered the United States Navy and graduated from the Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, in 1972. After serving aboard two destroyers stationed in Long Beach, California, and earning the Surface Warfare Officer designation, he was honorably discharged from the Navy as a Lieutenant in 1975.

Education

Mr. Putnam received his B.A. degree from Emory University in 1971 and his law degree, with honors, from Florida State University School of Law in 1978.

Admissions & Associations

Mr. Putnam is a member of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association, and presently serves as a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar and the Tenth Judicial Circuit Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. He is a director of Florida Citrus Showcase, Inc., and All Saints’ Academy, Inc., and is a past director of the American Red Cross of Polk County and Girls, Incorporated, of Winter Haven.
