Tim has handled cases ranging from insurance coverage disputes, litigation under the Uniform Commercial Code, discrimination claims, the enforcement of secured and unsecured claims by creditors, and appellate proceedings. In the transactional setting, he has assisted clients with mergers and acquisitions, business organizations and contract drafting, real estate transactions, and commercial and agricultural loan closings.
In 2014, Tim was nominated by a client and recognized with a Client Choice Award for the general corporate category. Tim was designated as a “Rising Star” in 2009 and 2010 by Florida Super Lawyers. He also maintains an AV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking an attorney can receive by his peers and clients.
Tim graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. Tim received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from The University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2004. While in law school, Tim was a member of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Admissions and Associations
In addition to the Florida Bar, Tim is admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District in Florida. Tim is a member of the Lakeland Bar Association and the Willson American Inns of Court.
Enjoying giving back to the community, Tim is a past president of the Learning Resource Center of Polk County’s Board of Trustees and past Chairman of the Board for the Alliance for Independence. Tim remains currently active with Alliance for Independence, and he serves on the board of directors for the Lakeland Bar Association.
Tim resides in Lakeland with his wife Lauren, who is also an attorney, and their 3 children, Madeline, Amelia, and Miller. Tim is a sometimes-coach of Madeline’s soccer team, but is a full-time spectator.
