David E. Grisham, a firm attorney practicing in the Lakeland office, and a Major in the United States Army Reserves, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, has been competitively selected for a tenured position as the Command Judge Advocate with the 5th Medical Group, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The 5th Medical Group is part of the 3rd Medical Command Deployment Support, or “Desert Medics”, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, that manages all the Army Reserve deployable field medical units east of Ohio.  The 5th Medical Group supports thousands of troops across the southeastern United States and is responsible for providing medical care and deploying doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals to war zones around the world. Unit members provide general medical care, surgical, dental, ambulance, behavioral health, preventive health maintenance, and veterinary support to Army units and to civilian populations.
