David E. Grisham

David E. Grisham is a fifth generation Floridian born in Live Oak, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University (FSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Communication in 1985. After graduating from FSU, he served as a paralegal and non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC) in Germany and as a Deputy Clerk of the Eighth Circuit Court in Alachua County, Florida. He earned his degree in law from St. Thomas University School of Law (STU) in Miami, Florida in 1996. After STU, he returned to active service in 1997 as an officer in the JAGC, serving as a prosecutor for the 3rd Infantry Division, at Ft. Stewart, Georgia, and as the Command Judge Advocate for the Army arsenal in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, before joining the firm in 2001.

Mr. Grisham is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Lakeland Bar Association, The Florida Bar, and the Bar for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Grisham is a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves, JAGC and is the Brigade Judge Advocate for the 5th Medical Brigade, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lakeland, a former mentor with the Take Stock in Children Program, a graduate of Leadership Lakeland (Class XXV), an executive board member for Platform Art of Florida, and is an executive board member for the Downtown Lakeland Kiwanis Club. Mr. Grisham practices in the firm’s Lakeland office in the areas of health law, medical collections, social security disability, employment law, technology law, and general litigation.
