Background

Following graduation from college, Mr. Hill worked for several years in the social work and criminal justice fields and as a private investigator. Upon law school graduation, Mr. Hill moved to Lakeland and went into private practice. In 2010, Mr. Hill formed a solo private practice (Hill Law), which he operated for eight years, prior to joining Peterson & Myers in 2019. 

Education

Mr. Hill received his B.A. degree in 1995 from Lenoir-Rhyne University (Hickory, North Carolina) with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. Mr. Hill received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 2001.

Admissions and Associations

Mr. Hill is a member of the Florida Bar. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Hill is a member of Christ Community Presbyterian Church, and he is and has been involved in various civic and community organizations, including the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors and General Counsel), EMERGE Lakeland (Chair, Vice Chair, and Steering Committee), and he is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXV.

Mr. Hill and his wife (Kate) reside in Lakeland and they have five children.  Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and cheering for the Tennessee Vols.
