Background

Ms. Benson attended Florida State University College of Business where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance. During her time at Florida State, she served on the national Collegiate Advisory Committee of Phi Mu Fraternity and competed on the nationally awarded Mock Trial Team. Upon graduation from Florida State, she attended Stetson University College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor.

During her time at Stetson, Ms. Benson served as President of the Student Bar Association, Managing Editor of the Journal of Aging Law and Policy, and the American Bar Association Representative. Ms. Benson also served as a Research and Writing teaching assistant and was recognized for achieving the highest grade in Research and Writing II, Elder Law Seminar, and Public Benefits Law. Upon graduation, Ms. Benson was awarded the Walter Mann award, an honor awarded to the graduating student who has shown the greatest promise of becoming an outstanding leader in the legal profession.

Ms. Benson received her bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Florida State University in 2021. She received her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Stetson University College of Law in 2024.
