Stephen R. Senn was recently invited to participate in an Employer Roundtable forum sponsored by Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL) and the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education consortium (NASDCTEc). The event, held in Clearwater on February 19, 2016, gathered educators, employers, and business organizations to discuss methods for enhancing business engagement in supporting career-based education. Information developed during the Employer Roundtable will be developed into a White Paper which will be made available to assist public educational systems with an interest in increasing business involvement in their career programs. Steve was selected to participate based on his service on the Executive Advisory Board for Polk Academies, which works to link the resources of business, education, and local communities in order to promote higher education, career pathways, and active civic participation.
