Written by: Peterson & Myers, P.A.

The Florida Department of Transportation is planning a project to build a new interchange on the Polk Parkway at Braddock Road to provide access to the new Sun Trax Test Facility in Auburndale.

The proposed improvements for this project include a new full access exchange, four-lane widening of Braddock Road from west of the Polk Parkway to Berkley Road, construction of a two-lane spur road from Braddock Road to south of Pace Road, and realignment of the Auburndale Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility access road and its intersection with Braddock Road.

There will also be construction of a new residential access road connection between the north ends of Ashlee Court and Spring Court along with a new intersection at Braddock Road.

The FDOT will hold a Project Development and Environment Public Hearing on this project at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Ariana Beach Clubhouse, 321 Ramsgate Road, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
